One of the most unusual tribes of the world — Mursi lives in Ethiopia. They are considered the most aggressive ethnic group. All men of this tribe have Kalashnikov’s automatons which are illegally transferred for them through the border. Besides they start to drink since the early morning, and become uncontrollable till the evening.

Those soldiers of the tribe who has not automatons or who has simply left them in the dwelling carry sticks with themselves. With the help of these sticks they prove their leadership. A man who pretends it should hammer the competitors to semi death.

This tribe, probably, belongs to mutants of the Negroid race, because it differs considerably from the usual standards of beauty by its appearance. Both men and women are cobby, big-boned and bandy-leg. Low foreheads, flat noses, short necks. Bodies are flabby with the flubbed bellies and the humped backs. There is almost no hair on their heads. That is why all women-mursi generally wear the intricate headdresses of a difficult design made of branches, rough skin, marsh mollusks, dried up fruits, dead insects, someone’s tails and some smelly carrion. Their wrinkled masticated faces with small eyes have extremely malignant and wary appearance.

One more interesting fact is their very specific smell. It is possible to think that they simply wash themselves seldom, but then you find out that they rub themselves especially as the protection against all parasites.

The unique "ornament" of the face which they use, is absolutely unusual, even for wild people. The matter is that the lower lip of this tribe’s girls is cut in an early age. They begin to put into the lip the billets of wood, every time with the bigger and bigger diameter.

The hole in a lip gradually increases during years. The "plate" of the burnt clay is put into the hole on the women’s wedding-day. This plate is named daby. The functions of this daby we’ll explain later. The diameter of such daby in a lip can reach 30 centimeters, exceeding diameter of the head! However, the tradition to wear plates has appeared not because of beauty, rather vice-versa.

When Ethiopians were captured and taken into bondage, they violently had crippled themselves, and nobody wanted to take them after that. Now the size of a plate is a beauty criterion. The more is plate, the more cattle will be given for the bride. Girls-mursi always have a choice to do the hole in a lip or not. But for the girl without the stretched lip a very small repayment is given.

If such a plate is pulled out, the external edge of a lip under the hole will be 10-15 centimeters flabbied in the form of peculiar round plait. Many mursis do not have frontal teeth for the plate doesn’t knock the teeth. And all the time bleeding chapped tip of tongue sticks out like a rotten sting.

Besides women-mursi have the other ornaments hanging on their short necks. These ornaments are not less strange and terrible than daby. It is neck-lace made of bones and human nail phalanxes. It’s named a nak. Normally the usual man has about 28 such a stones. Nom less than four or six hands were used for making such a nak. Besides, some "ladies" have several such terrifying necklaces hanging on the neck. They fatly shine and exude a luscious fetid smell — every day they rub each bone of neck-lace with the melted human fat.

Their blown up bellies look exotically. The original ritual tattoos in the form of the symmetric lines consisting of separate hems are written on their skin. These «hillock» have various sizes and forms: round, oval, linear. They are “laid on” in rather peculiar and terrible way. The larvas of various land and water African insects-parasites are pushed under the skin through the notches on it.

They start to develop there. But starting struggle against the newcomers an organism encysts "strangers" by means of its connective tissue. Eventually these larvas die leaving their various tombs under the skin. Knowing it, mursi alternate the places of their introduction specially, depending on definitive "pattern" on the skin which they wish to receive. Practically for any offence a priestess of a tribe cuts off hands of a man who has broken laws (here naks are recollected at once).

A ccording to traditions of this mystical tribe, all its women are Priestesses of Death. First in the evening they prepare some rather easy narcotic potion in their huts by pounding the dried fruits of a special marsh nut in a powder. Then the woman put the prepared potion on the plateau-debi and approaches the narcotic mix to the lips of her husband. Both of them start to pinch it simultaneously (thus the wife puts out tongue through the hole between teeth). This part of a ritual ceremony is called «the kiss of death». By the way, the way of usual for us kiss is unknown for them.

Then the bunch of some stupefying grass which starts to let out the streams of yellowish smoke is rushed to the smoulder. The man rises by the pole of "mezzanines" and lays down over the hearth so that the sweet streams go directly to his face. He doesn’t just lay down, but he places his head on deepening of a

special small stand-pillow. This small thingummy reminds the form of the coil. It is called brkuta and it is made of wood of a secret plant which wasn’t shown us. There are bout two tens of such surprising adaptations for dream in the hut of the Supreme Priestess of a tribe called — Srek.

Srek rubs each of them with one of the numerous potions and slanders a special individual spell. As a result, every brkuta becomes the carrier of some absolutely concrete dream! It can be "film" about successful hunting, or night of love, about a tasty gluttony, or victorious fight with enemies, etc. Every evening at the instance of husband the wife brings him a wooden headrest with that vision which he wishes to see before possible death. This part of a ceremony is called «the death dream». And this name is not so casual. While the man is dreaming sweet in a dope smoke, the wife is going to give him a poison.

The Supreme Priestess of tribe prepares this deadly powder of those bottom teeth which have been pulled out from women’s mouth, drawing them on the difficult potion made of nine herbs which grow on hummocks of dead Lotagipi marshes. After a while, the woman-mursi rises to the sleeping husband and blows the deadly powder into his mouth. This part of a mystical ceremony is called «the death sting». But the passions are not finished here. Having poisoned the husbands all Priestesses of death gather in a hut of Srek and carry out the mysterious ceremony there.

The ominous ritual finishes with the action which we have named «the death roulette. Mursi called it «the death gift». The Supreme Priestess passed by all the huts of village rising to the poisoned men and putting into their mouths the saving antidote. This mix is in her necklace which decorates her difficult "hairdress". And no one except her and God of Death, Jamda, knows: who of men of the tribe is permitted to continue life and who is not. It happened that Srek did not give someone the antidote. In such case she left the hut and drawn white cross on the plate of his wife. Such woman remained the widow during the rest of life and had the respect in a tribe as the priestess who has done her duty for all-powerful Jamda.

The bodies of such widows are located in stumps of a hollow trunk and are suspended on branches of the special trees after their natural death. Bodies of all other fellow tribesmen, both men and women, boil down. Soft tissues and broth become the meals, potions and amulets. Skeletons of fellow tribesmen serve like stones for secret ways in dangerous bogs for not to fail.

However, something that seems wild for us, it is something blessing for this tribe. Mursi — is the servant of God of Death. Their belief says that bodies of men-mursi are some kind of ritual "prison" of God Jamda in which he concludes Souls of his assistants — Death Demons in case of their disobedience. And white strips on the bodies symbolize the fetters of a flesh temporarily constraining rebellious Spirit.

The woman-priestess destroyed these physical terrestrial fetters by methodically killing flesh of men with the narcotic poison. In this way they approached an hour of clearing for higher spiritual entity pining in them. These women are the simple Spirits of Darkness who was sent here for performance of mystical ritual ceremonies and who has the right to return to their Lord — only after natural death of the received body. Kindness doesn’t excide without harm, light — without darkness, and life — without death. And each person serves one of opposite forces, executing the mission which was given him by the Creator. And we have not to judge whose way and belief is more correct. The ancient tribe mursi simply executes the duty.

Let’s start with Che Guevara.

The Cuban photographer Alberto Corda took some photos of an argentine doctor and Cuban revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara in March of 1960.

This photo was assumed as a basis of the romantic revolutionist’s iconic image.

The nose image on the left and the palms one on the right didn’t go down in history.

Che Guevara couldn’t keep still on Cuba and was eager to do something, for instance revolution. He couldn’t also do anything in Congo, as this country was inhabited by sluggish people (How fascinating are Che’s Congolese diaries!) After all, Che Guevara moved to Bolivia and also failed to stir up Vallengrad peasantry to revolt. The Bolivian army soldiers (and of course, where to go without CIA) shot Che Guevara on 9th of October 1967. They didn’t shoot him in the face, so that it could be seen that the killed person was Che Guevara.

Everyone wanted to be photographed with a well-known dead body.

Che Guevara’s hands were cut off and sent to Cuba, so that the Argentine police could compare them with the file samples. The body was buried next to the landing strip in a common grave.

The Bolivians first cut off the hands, and after that decided to do the same thing with Che’s fingers.

Only in 1997 the Cuban delegation reported that the body was found. They transported the remains to Cuba, and then buried them in a Santa-Clara town mausoleum.

In the same year old man who took part in burying Che Guevara in Bolivia decided to put some documents, photos and the lock of Che’s hair up for auction. This lot was sold for 119 000 dollars. Willoldo insists that only he knows where Che Guevara is buried, and there are another person’s remains on Cuba.

Three days ago, on 19th of January, the stamp with the name “50 years of Cuban Revolution victory” (joint Russia and Cuba edition) was issued. And the star, unlike on the old Cuban stamp, was displayed, of course. It’s worthy to mention that the US can’t venture on such a stamp issue.

But now USA uses this type of Che image!

The soft-spoken, gamine actresses sported similar short dos: Stylist Laini Reeves chopped Williams’, 27, locks in February, while Vidal Sassoon gave Farrow a $5,000 cut for her role in 1968’s Rosemary’s Baby.

Kenny Baker, a dwarf at 3 feet 8 inches, was free from trilogy stigmas that may have hindered other cast members. Baker, a former circus performer, continued entertaining as a DJ, circus clown and shadow ringmaster. In addition to occasional film roles, including an elf in a 1987 production of "Sleeping Beauty," he also developed his own musical comedy act, The Mini Tones. Baker and C3PO’s Anthony Daniels are the only two actors credited with appearances in all six "Star Wars" films. Most recently, Baker made British headlines in 2005 for his arrest for driving while intoxicated.

Harrison Ford (Han Solo)

(AP Photo/ Getty Images )

While many of the "Star Wars" characters suffered from typecasting, Harrison emerged as an international, sometimes intergalactic leading man. George Lucas first cast Ford in "American Graffiti," next in "Star Wars, " and his role as Indiana Jones solidified his iconic status. Ford went on star as the iconic Jack Ryan of Tom Clancy’s novels and tried his luck at the occasional romantic comedy. The action star has yet to win an Academy Award, but he did take home the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award in 2000. Ford is set to reprise his other Lucas character Indiana Jones for an upcoming fourth installment, but it seems his Han Solo days are over.

Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker)

(MPTV/ Getty Images )

Luke Skywalker may have saved the empire from galactic evil, but his lightsaber skills left actor Mark Hamill with a little to be desired. Unable to shed his role as Luke, Hamill fled the action screen for the Broadway stage to prove his acting chops trumped his saber skills. However, his biggest success turned out to be his vocal stylings, which gave life to Joker on Fox’s animated "The Adventures of Batman and Robin," as well as a number of other animated shows and movies.

Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia)

(Wire Image/ Getty Images )

After immortalizing the universe’s most fearless Princess in a gold bikini, actress Carrie Fisher had trouble with life beyond "Star Wars." Fisher fell into a whirlwind of drug abuse accompanied by a quick-to-start quick-to-end marriage with Paul Simon. Her first attempts to break free from her typecast were of little note, but Fisher had a memorable turn as Meg Ryan’s friend in "When Harry Met Sally." However, she found her calling not onscreen but on paper: writing. Four successful novels and a spot atop The New York Time’s best-seller list launched her into a career of comedy-script writing, contributing to movies such "The Wedding Singer" and "Sister Act."

Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan Kenobi)

(Wire Image/ AP Photo )

For an Oscar-winning actor, "Star Wars" proved to be much more of a burden than a blessing. Alec Guinness was already a distinguished actor with accaimed roles on his resume, but would be forever known as "Obi-Wan." He considered the trilogies’ fans to be maniacal to an extent and did his best to ignore his presence in the film. However, Guinness was one of the few cast members to recognize the commercial appeal of the film from the beginning and negotiate a percentage of the gross, which allowed him financial security to recede into the stage acting scene and write an autobiography. Guinness died in 2000 at age 86 from liver cancer.

Anthony Daniels (C3P0)

(Wire Image/ Getty Images )

Since he cast off the golden armor, English actor Anthony Daniels has not entirely relinquished his "Star Wars" past. Daniels is a contributor to sci-fi ‘zines, such as his regular column in "The Star Wars Insider," titled "New Improved Wonder Column." He has also taken an interest in Sci-Fi gaming, publishing a comic book for Dark House, "The Protocol Offensive," which is reminiscent of his former robot persona. Daniels donned the droid suit for the prequel trilogy, although he only did the voice work for "Episode I — The Phantom Menace."

David Prowse (body of Vader)

(Wire Image)

David Prowse embodied the most memorable character in the "Star Wars" trilogy, although he received little credit for it. A former body-building champion, Prowse was reportedly never told that his voice would be dubbed over and has held a grudge ever since. Unfortunately, his health began to falter in 1990, when his dormant arthritis problems intensified and ultimately paralyzed both his arms. He now participates in various British arthritis organizations and serves as vice president of the Physically Handicapped and Able-bodied Association. Despite Prowse’s lobbying efforts, he did not reprise his role for the fully armored Darth Vader in "Episode III."

Frank Oz (voice of Yoda)

(AP Photo/ Getty Images)

Frank Oz: the hands, the voice, and the brains behind some of America’s most beloved fuzzy friends and actors alike. As the voice responsible for the characters of Miss Piggy, Fozzie the Bear, Cookie Monster, Grover, he earned himself a reputation loud enough to play the voice of the most-respected creature of them all: Yoda. His successful muppet empire is still going strong, while he has also gathered directing credits for a slew of films, including 2006’s version of "The Stepford Wives." Oz didn’t let Lucas down when the director made the first three episodes; Oz lent his voice to the ancient Sage for his acrobatic lightsaber battle against Count Dooku.

Peter Cushing (Grand Moff Tarkin)

(Wire Image)

After Grand Moff Tarkin met his end on the detonated Death Star in the original "Star Wars," actor Peter Cushing’s life took a turn for the quieter. He appeared sporadically in films and TV shows, completed two autobiographies and relegated himself to spectator status for his favorite hobby, bird watching. However, his retirement years did not abandon him as a lost figure in the acting world: in 1989, he was made an officer of the British Empire, receiving recognition for his contributions to acting, both in England and worldwide. Cushing died in 1994 at the age of 81 of prostate cancer.

Ja
mes Earle Jones (voice of Darth Vader)

(Retna/ Getty Images )

To portray the menacing Darth Vader, George Lucas opted for a classically trained voice: James Earle Jones. Although "Luke, I am your father" will forever live in the minds of "Star Wars" fans everywhere with Jones’ imparted poignance, he has become the most disctintive and sought- after voice in the media. In addition to Jones’ Oscar-nominated role in "The Great White Hope," Jones, like Harrison Ford, found a calling in films based on Tom Clancy books. His infamous voice can also be heard as the voice of CNN, Verizon and Mufasa in Disney’s "The Lion King." Distinguished by both his voice and acclaimed acting skills, Jones has also received one Grammy, two Emmy Awards and two Tony Awards.

Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca)

(Wire Image/ Getty Images )

Interestingly enough for a character who’s more than 7 feet tall and covered in yak hair, Peter Mayhew embraced his character Chewbacca instead of shedding the fuzz as soon as the scene was cut. He continued to portray the hairy but friendly beast well after the movies were completed, including a cameo at the 1997 MTV Movie Awards. Mayhew was tapped to fill the Wookie suit once again for "Episode III;" his studied movement of the character made a stand in or stuntman merely a sub-par Wookie. English by birth, Mayhew now lives in Texas, visiting science fiction expositions across the company, and in 2005, he took the oath to become a naturalized citizen.

Billy Dee Williams (Lando)

(Getty Images )

Billy Dee Williams rose to screen success in the 1970s, and by far his most recognizable role was as part of the Rebel Alliance, playing Lando Calrissian. He played Batman’s unforgettable villain, Harvey Dent in the 1989 film but was unfortunately replaced by Tommy Lee Jones when the moment arrived for Dent’s alter ego, "Two-Face," to take the screen in "Batman Forever." His screen status has markedly plunged since his 1970s fame, but he pops up occasionally, making cameo appearances on the sitcoms "Scrubs" and "That 70’s Show."

Many prayed for forgiveness and the welfare of Muslims across the world but for many others it was enough just to be there.
Saudi authorities say more than 1.6 million people have entered Saudi Arabia for the event, the largest religious gathering in the world and a huge logistical and security challenge for the Saudi authorities.
With pilgrims from within the country, both Saudis and foreign workers, the total would be well over 2 million. Some Saudi newspapers said 3 million people were expected.
The pilgrims, dressed in special white robes, jostled for space in the narrow confines of the area where they must spend the afternoon, preferably in reading and prayer to God.
But Muslim scholars say that being on the plain at the required time is enough to validate the pilgrim’s haj.
Some pilgrims slept in tents, picnicked wherever they could find the space to lay their mats or just chatted with friends.
