Its understandable that cats may be scared of water but most cats are scared of water bc they're not used to it. It's true that you have to get them used to taking baths. I have a kitten that I have been bathing everyday (which may sound bad) but she doesn't clean herself properly. After using the bathroom there will be poop stuck in her hair toward her backside area & sometimes stuck in her leg hair. Also, there will be cat litter stuck in her paws. So instead of having a poopy cat I wash her, & I don't see anything wrong with that. She is actually very calm when I put her in the water. On top of the poop, I am allergic but I haven't had problems since washing her & keeping her clean. SO maybe I'm one of the people that's allergic to their saliva. Most of the time he'll make such panicky noises I expect the neighbours to come knocking, but after the soapy soak (which I can't do for long on account of said neighbours), he calms right down and enjoys his towelling and blow dry. Then I give him some treats and tell him what a good boy he is! He's 14, gorgeous and extremely bonded to me ~ doesn't really like anybody else. I ive now tread on several of my cats with nothing but the utmost respect and i can tell you its pretty rewarding. Their little pink noses poke inbetween my toes and sometimes i swoon with envy wishing i could have a little pink nose and be tread on with respect. I of course still look forward to my many washings after treading on them and get their little ears clean as a whistle! sometimes i kiss them and sneak a little nibble on the little pink ears! Yeah, uh, just in response to those who question my love and affection for those little fuckers, i can only say that my cats have learned to love whatever the fuck i want themn to do (or else). Although recently, my cats have been losing their hair and i think thats because they are jealous of the attention the other cats get (i have like 9 or 10, 3 are really sick right now because the box i keep them in is pretty foul, so maybe it will be 7 when this gets posted) So im gonna give my kitty heads lots of attention and shaving and kisses!!!!
