Who the Hell writes this stuff? Automatons? I had no idea these people had A.I. android technology (sarcasm, in case you didn’t get it). Obviously the writer doesn’t have any grasp of the English language. The writing is atrocious and the content perverted and ignorant, as are a great deal of the preceding comments.

I’ve spent some time with the Mursi and few other Omo tribes.
It’s obvious from the photos that the author went on tour to the Mursi “tourist” village (the bizarre “decoration” is for tourists’ sake). As been already said, the article is highly insulting and, more importantly, very far from the truth about the Mursi! If you have ended here because you where looking for serious information about them, please look elsewhere (e.g. mursi.org).

Douglas, the Ethiopian government is strong but it’s not going to protect the Mursi. Their aim is to destroy them! (see _http://www.survivalinternational.org/news/7518)

Please stop talking about these tribe they are not in your countries or your houses to bother you. you are come to see them always, what you are trying to write about it you will never go to touch them, Ethiopian government is strong enough to protected them. even you come or not they will never make difference to them, so please dont spend much of your time on this. this person was writing this was really scared of this tribe powerful tribe it is not only him even other tribes fear them, they are real warrior.

This is a very biased, even racist, article. These people are simply trying to make themselves beautiful, not for anyone else, but for themselves. Just understand and accept that. I am sure that this tribe would be greatly perturbed and surprised that there are some individuals who cut open their breasts to insert some jelly pouch to make them look bigger. Just accept unconditionally and without bias other people’s cultures. And judge not what you do not understand.

How on earth is this still on the internet?! I understand that English is the author’s second language, however I would have recommended that he/she have had someone else proof read this before posting. I refuse to blame complete ignorance as a factor. This article is highly biased and downright disrespectful and ethnocentric! I understand that some traditions to us may seem very strange and it is perfectly normal to admit that. You may disagree with some of this tribe’s philosophies and practices but it is inappropriate to go on attacking this tribe.
