This happened at 19th of March, 2007 in Siberian city Noviy Urengoy. The gas pipeline 5 feet in diameter exploded.
There was no mention of this event on Russian mass media. Some say that’s because of prohibition from GAZPROM, Russian gas monopolist.

This photo was made from the distance of 7 miles from the actual explosion place.

It’s 4.00am but it’s not dark anymore. The rain of gray ashes started.

The fire is 1000 feet tall!

Now on the site of the explosion there is a giant swamp-lake as a result of this disaster, surrounded by miles of frozen winter forests of Siberia.

Huh…
I know it is to make such pictures. You should be profession photograph to make it…
I prefer #3. It’s the best “fire-pic” I ever saw.
